Terms of Service
Last updated September 11, 2026
The short version: you own your photos. You promise you have the right to share them and permission from the people in them. You let us show them on the page you make. Anyone with the link can see that page. If something should not be up, ask and we will look at it.
1. What CardMyService is
CardMyService (“we”, “us”) lets families turn photos of a military milestone into keepsake cards, a video, a family page with a message wall, and class pages that group graduates from the same class. By using the site, starting a free preview, buying, uploading, publishing or posting a message, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. Logging in, your private link, and family you add
You log in with your email and a one-time code we send you. After you buy, you also get a private link that lets you add photos and edit your page. Anyone who has that link can make changes, so keep it to yourself. You can add other people by email. Someone added as the graduate can edit the page and add or remove family, and someone added as family can add photos. You are responsible for who you add, and we are not responsible for changes made by someone you added or shared your link with. You can remove people you added at any time.
3. Your photos and words stay yours
You keep ownership of everything you upload or write. To run the service, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to store, copy, resize, correct, format and display your content, including turning it into cards, videos and share images, and to show it on your page, on the class page if you choose to be listed there, and in previews when someone shares your link. This permission lasts while your content is on the site and ends when it is removed, except for copies other people already downloaded or shared. We do not use your photos in our own advertising without asking you first.
4. What you promise when you upload or publish
- You took the photos, or you have the right to share them. Photos bought from a base or event photographer are usually licensed for personal use, so check that your purchase lets you post them publicly.
- You have permission from the service member and anyone clearly shown to post their name, details and photos, or you are legally allowed to give that permission for them, for example as the parent or guardian of someone under 18.
- What you post is true to the best of your knowledge and is not unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexual, or an invasion of someone’s privacy.
- You will not post anything that puts service members at risk, including where someone is currently stationed or deployed, movement dates, unit operations, or anything marked classified or sensitive.
- You will not pretend to be someone else or use the site to sell or advertise.
You are responsible for what you upload and post. If you break these promises, you agree to cover the costs and claims that result, to the extent the law allows.
5. Who can see it
Family pages and class pages are public to anyone who has the link. They are not listed in search engines by us, but anyone you send the link to can pass it on. If you tick “show them on their class page”, your graduate’s name, rank, hometown and first photo appear on that class page. You can turn that off from your private link.
6. The message wall
Anyone with a family page link can leave a message. People who post messages are responsible for them. We may hide or remove any message at any time for any reason.
7. Removal requests
If a page, photo or message shows you, your child, or photos you own and should not be up, use the removal request form, linked at the bottom of every family and class page. We review every request, may take content down while we look into it, and may remove content or pages that break these Terms without notice. Copyright owners can use the same form to report their photos.
8. Payments
Purchases are one-time payments processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Receipts come from our payment processor. If something is wrong with your order, reply to your receipt and we will work it out with you.
9. Not affiliated with the military
CardMyService is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the U.S. Department of Defense or any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces. Card designs and insignia are our own original artwork.
10. The service is provided as it is
We work hard to keep the site running and your pages up, but we provide the service “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for content uploaded or posted by users. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the order it relates to.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. When we do, we change the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Contact
For anything about a page or its content, use the request form. For an order, reply to your receipt email.
